Alicia Sciberras’ studies in Fine Art set her on course to today being one of the most creative, imaginative and versatile set stylists and art directors, working across interiors, food, fashion and events.
Sciberras’ work pivots on crafting rich narratives, and her visual language toggles easily from manicured to effortless, while never betraying an enduring quality. This dichotomy has its origins in her studies in sculpture and installation: she graduated with Honours from Sydney College of the Arts. Soon after this, Sciberras found herself styling pages for Habitus slowly building her portfolio before taking up the role of Style Editor at Inside Out and having work published in Vogue Living that same year.
Focusing on objects and spaces, Sciberras’ work is thoughtful; her eye, critical and her spatial awareness, cultivated. She readily traverses disciplines and responds to briefs on all scales: from physically directing a set build to crafting minute props out of paper and card to balancing perfume bottles precariously for a still-life shoot to sourcing items large and small from her extensive network of suppliers, her approach is nothing if not hands on.
Her clients include David Jones, Mercedes Benz Australia, Christian Louboutin, Hay Australia, IKEA, Kenzo, COACH, Nobody Denim, Jurlique, Marimekko Australia, Adidas Originals, Vogue Living and Harper’s Bazaar. She currently resides in Sydney.
